RECIPE: Peach Cobbler
Dough
2-cups sifted flour
4-tsp baking powder
1/2-tsp salt
2-4-tbsp butter
2/3-cup milk |
Fruit Mixture
2-cups sliced peaches (or any other fruit)
1-egg
1-cup granulated sugar
2-tbsp butter |
Dough
Sift together the flour, baking powder, and salt
Cut in the butter with a pastry blender until mixture resembles fine corn meal
Add milk to make a soft dough
Turn dough on to a lightly floured board and knead slightly
Fruit Mixture
Mix fruit with well-beaten egg
Add sugar and spread in a greased baking dish
Dot with butter and cover with the dough
Bake in a preheated 450* oven for 12-15 minutes
