SNACK RECIPES:
Pita Chips

1-package pita pockets
(We use Mr. Pita whole-wheat pockets, 5 per package, or some other "thin" pita)
1/4-cup olive oil (approx)
1 1/2-tsp salt
Assorted seasonings such as:
Oregano, cumin, onion powder, garlic powder, cayenne

Adjust racks in oven to upper and lower middle
Heat oven to 350*F
With a knife or scissors, split the pitas in half
Brush the rough side with oil
Cut into 8 wedges
Spread onto two baking sheets
Sprinkle with salt and other seasonings of choice
Bake 6 minutes per side until crisp
Cool before serving

Notes
The thinnest pitas work best as they crisp up nice.
These chips taste good alone, but are best used for dips. We highly recommend serving hummus with these chips
